3rd Year Design Projects

Here you will find a showcase of 3rd year student design projects that are completed as part of course ELEN3017 - Electrical Engineering Design. An extract from the Course Brief states:

"This course is intended to provide students with experience in using their engineering knowledge to produce
practical designs. The course comprises two parts: a paper design process that takes place in the 1st block,
followed by a practical project in the 2nd block.
The design project specifications vary each year and typically involve a micro-processor based system to
implement an aspect (or aspects) of control, measurement and automation or other static or dynamic
system(s). The scope of the project includes fundamental knowledge gained from other fields of electrical
engineering. Some sort of pre-manufactured item/toy is usually used as a base onto which the designed
electronics is implemented."
